Otipemisiwak Métis Government (formerly the Métis Nation of Alberta) is a self-governing Métis government focused on improving the lives of its citizens. This project specifically supports their work in providing essential resources for Métis children and families.
Goal & challenge
To create a culturally appropriate and fun book for Métis children and families.
The design required to translate the illustration style into a mix-media aesthetic using paper textures and cultural elements, with meticulous typesetting and layout to ensure the minimal text was perfectly sized and placed for easy comprehension by a young audience, demanding maximum visual impact with a handmade feel and look.
